The Interfaith Alliance is searching for an assistant in our grassroots-organizing department. Who We Are: The Interfaith Alliance celebrates religious freedom by championing individual rights, promoting policies that protect both religion and democracy, and uniting diverse voices to challenge extremism. The Interfaith Alliance was created in 1994 to celebrate religious freedom and to challenge the bigotry and hatred arising from religious and political extremism infiltrating American politics. Today, The Interfaith Alliance has 185,000 members across the country made up of 75 faith traditions a well as those of no faith tradition. Department Description: The Interfaith Alliance’s Field Department works with grassroots activists and Affiliate organizations across the US to build local, regional and national support for our issues and to build a stronger movement to protect religious freedom. In addition, the department oversees our high school leadership program. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relations with local affiliates, grassroots activists and members. Serve as liaison between the affiliates and the national office. Enthusiastically respond to requests for information and support from local Affiliates, grassroots activists and members. Assist Director and Affiliates with formulating and implementing action plans. Maintain department (Filemaker Pro) databases. Provide administrative support for our high school student program. Play a key role in developing and implementing the organizations national conference. Assist Director with other duties as assigned. Qualifications
