Ask President Obama to bring his faith-based office in line with the Constitution
On March 9, 2010 the White House Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships presented President Obama with recommendations that will bring the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in line with the Constitution’s guarantees of both religious freedom and the separation of religion and government.
Now the decision of whether or not to implement these recommendations is in President Obama’s hands.

Make Sure Textbooks Teach Our Children Well
On March 11, 2010, the Texas State Board of Education (Texas SBOE) voted on a variety of amendments to the state social studies curriculum. These amendments will severely weaken the education students in Texas will receive on the boundary between religion and government in our nation.

Tell Congress to Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act!
While existing federal laws prohibit workplace discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, national origin and disability, no federal law exists to protect employees from discrimination on the basis of real or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. In 30 states, an individual can be fired, refused a job, demoted or denied a promotion based on his or her sexual orientation, and in 38 states it is legal to do so because of an individual’s gender identity.
